SaskEnergy's Residential Equipment Replacement Rebate pays homeowners back for installing high-efficiency natural gas equipment.
Current amounts listed by SaskEnergy: $650 for a 97%+ AFUE furnace, $325 for 96.0–96.9% AFUE, $1,000 for a tankless water heater (0.87+ UEF), $1,000 for a condensing water heater (0.80+ UEF), $250 for a 0.64–0.79 UEF tank, $10 per MBH up to $2,000 for a 95%+ boiler, $800 for a combi boiler and $100 for an ENERGY STAR HRV.
The unit must be installed by a contractor with a valid TSASK gas licence — self-installs don't qualify — and you must apply within 90 days of installation. Funding is limited and the program can change, so check before you start.
When we quote, we tell you which rebate your equipment qualifies for and give you the invoice details the application asks for.
