Furnace or heat pump for an Ontario home?
How they compare, and when a hybrid setup makes sense.

Ontario's Home Renovation Savings Program is delivered by Save on Energy and Enbridge Gas. It offers rebates on energy upgrades for homeowners.
The program lists up to $7,500 for a cold-climate air-source heat pump and up to $12,000 for a ground-source system, depending on size and eligibility. Smart thermostats, insulation, windows and heat pump water heaters have their own rebates.
Some upgrades require an energy assessment or a participating contractor, and rules can change — so check before work starts.
When we quote a heat pump, we tell you which rebates you may qualify for and help you with the paperwork.
