Terms and conditions
Last updated: October 30, 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website and to quotes and services provided by Jora Mechanical Systems ("Jora", "we", "us"). By using this website or booking our services, you agree to these terms. Your written quote or contract for a specific job also applies; if it conflicts with these terms, the written quote or contract governs.
2. Website use
Information on this website is general and provided for convenience. Product specifications, ratings and features come from manufacturers and may change without notice. Pictures may show optional features.
Rebate and incentive information is provided as a guide only. Rebate programs are run by third parties, may change or end at any time, and eligibility is decided by the program — not by Jora.
You agree not to misuse this website, attempt to access it without authorization, or copy its content for commercial use without our permission.
3. Quotes and pricing
Online quote requests are not binding offers. Prices are confirmed only in a written quote after we assess your home or building.
Written quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. Prices include the items listed; extra work found during the job (for example hidden damage, code upgrades or changes you request) will be discussed and approved by you before we do it.
Applicable taxes (HST in Ontario) are added as shown on your quote and invoice.
4. Your rights as an Ontario consumer
If you are a consumer in Ontario, you have rights under Ontario's consumer protection law, and nothing in these terms limits those rights.
If an agreement is signed somewhere other than our place of business (for example in your home), it may be a "direct agreement" under the Act, which generally gives you a cooling-off period (10 days under the current rules) during which you can cancel without reason. The details are set out in your agreement.
For more information, visit the Government of Ontario's consumer protection website.
5. Scheduling, access and site conditions
Please give our technicians safe access to the work area and equipment, and tell us about any known hazards (for example asbestos, mould or pets).
If we cannot complete work because of access problems or unsafe conditions, we will reschedule with you.
6. Permits and codes
Where a permit or inspection is required, we arrange it as described in your quote. Work is carried out to the Ontario Building Code, TSSA requirements and manufacturer instructions.
7. Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit, are set out in your written quote or contract. Equipment remains our property until paid in full, where permitted by law.
8. Warranties
Equipment is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Many manufacturers require registration within a set time to receive extended coverage; we register eligible equipment for you.
Our workmanship warranty, if any, is described in your written quote. Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, lack of maintenance, power surges, flooding or work by others.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Jora is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of this website or from delays outside our control (such as supplier shortages, weather or utility outages). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ontario law.
10. Third-party links
This website may link to manufacturer, government and rebate program websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
11. Privacy
How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
